Saturday night I got a little bored. Since I started a cleaning schedule* I really don’t have all that much to do on the weekend. And life gets especially boring when the husband is working. I ended up searching for things to do. Here’s a breakdown of what I did on Saturday to try and keep myself busy…
- Went to see my grandmother.
- Cleaned and vacuumed the Versa.
- Cleaned out the fridge.
- Cleaned out the pantries.
- Took the trash out. (3 times, don’t judge)
- Took several bags of clothing to GoodWill.
- Got my eyebrows waxed.
- Went grocery shopping.
- Organized pots and pans cabinet.
- Baked cookies.
- Made egg salad.
- Cleaned and cut 2 packages of strawberries.
It’s really that last bullet point that I want to focus on here.
Remember when I was on a margarita kick b/c of the marvelous Magic Bullet? Well, I grew kind of sick of margaritas after a while. I know, it’s blasphemy but it seriously happens. The only problem is that I still had about a shot and a half of tequila left and very little margarita mix. Nowhere near enough to make one last margarita. So those bottles have been chillaxing in my liquor cabinet for probably 2 or 3 months now.
So during the slicing of the many strawberries a lightbulb went on and I’m very pleased to say that the lightbulb? was perhaps one of the best ideas I’ve ever had. Behold:

*Monday, Wednesday, Friday: Vacuum, dust every Wednesday. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: Sweep Kitchen and bathrooms, clean catbox, clean bathrooms every Tuesday. I’m C.D.O. It’s like O.C.D. only in alphabetical order.
I have a magic bullet too, and I’m totally going to whip up some alcoholic bevvies in there. I don’t know why I didn’t think that of that sooner? Instead I make protein shakes and the like, and well… that gets old.
Mmm, yummy. I have a Magic Bullet too but I don’t use it that often. I agree with Brookem, for some reason I use the blender for alcoholic drinks and the Bullet for healthy smoothies.
I always watch the Magic Bullet infomercial in complete awe. That, and the one where you can grow herbs and plants year round! On your kitchen counter! I am jealous of your Bullet
I’m so thirsty for a margarita right now it’s scary. And in 15 minutes I’m teaching 8 year olds double digit subtraction. Which just means, I will definitely deserve a drink afterwards. I need a magic bullet!
That sounds like the perfect reason to run out and buy me one of those magic bullets.
This post makes me excited about our honeymoon. I expect to ingest many such drinks.
All I can say is I read it as, Clean out the panties. Don’t ask, because I’d have a lot to explain. Ha.
Oh man you’re such a productive person, haha. I wish I had that sort of motivation…and a magic bullet.

This makes me want to go lay on a beach, preferably in the Caribbean, drink a margarita and eat strawberries.
