- Go and vote for the 3rd contestant to compete in the Live!Finale! of The Biggest Loser. I don’t know why reality shows always switch it up, but this time 2 women have definitely made it to the final 3 and they’re leaving the 3rd spot open to America’s choice. If I may be so bold, I’d like to move you towards voting for Mark. Why? Because it’s damn time a woman takes home the title of The Biggest Loser and if Roger makes it to the finals that won’t happen. Mark has pretty much lost all of the weight that he’ll be able to lose and still be healthy, whereas Roger could probably lose 60-80 pounds more. So please go and vote for Mark to make it into the final 3…and give the women a chance!
- Every morning when I’m getting ready for work I have the news on in the background. It’s mostly so I can catch the weather report, but it’s nice to get some other news while I’m curling my hair. What’s not nice is Hillary Clinton’s ad that seems to play on a 10 minute loop. You see, North Carolina’s Primary is May 6th (last primary? next to last? I have no idea, but it’s late) and she and Obama (not to mention their spouses) have been to North Carolina, no less than 10 times in the past month, campaigning. Well Hillary has taken it a step further by constantly airing an ad announcing that she will answer all questions posed. I mean, that’s cool and all, but I’m pretty sure this is an Obama state. So she’s wasting a lot of money. Though on a fun note there may be a debate. If the two candidates can agree on a date.
- I turned on the radio this morning expecting to hear my favorite morning show Bob & The Showgram. Instead all I heard was music. Sometimes they play a couple songs when it’s a slow day so I didn’t think anything about it. But then I heard the radio stations VP make an announcement about how Bob & The Showgram have been suspended for making racial slurs about Native Americans. The first thing I did this morning when I got to my computer was figure out what the hell was going on, so I, of course, pulled up Wikipedia While what Bob originally said is kind of racist and just down right rude, the other remarks are pop culture references and should have been taken cum grano salis (with a grain of salt). That being said, did we learn nothing from Imus? No!Racial!Remarks!On!The!Radio! Sheesh.

Yeah I went to G105’s website and they have this HUGE black screen with an apology from the vp. I’m not big on that station but 1075kzl has made similar comments about other situations but never was pulled off air, maybe it’s because they’re a private owned station. Eh, who knows.
And like I said in my blog 7 freaking political ads in a half an hour is too much. And it was the one where she and Obama are bantering back and forth. Drives me insane! “Obama said blah blah blah…I did not say blah blah blah I said blah blah blah…”shut up already!
I watched BL this morning, and oh my crap, can you believe how incredible the girls look? Like, just insane. It inspires me (somewhat) to stop sitting on the couch eating candy.

and the radio thing? i’m over it. i’m so over it. people need to stop being so damn sensitive and raise a fuss as soon as they hear something that could possibly maybe to someone be offensive. hasn’t anyone heard of the washington redskins? the braves who’s trademark is the tomahawk chop? c’mon people! i’m really afraid of what our society is turning into where people can’t take a joke anymore. i guarantee you that the people they were joking directly to and about thought it was funny and it was some over-concerned-feeling-guilty white person that pitched the fit that got them suspended.

If you are looking for a radio talk show to listen to, try 92.3. It’s based in G-boro, but it cracks me up every morning! I’ve been stuck on it for the last 3 years! Weather is about the same as the area you live in too!

I hate voting late. Usually it means all the action has already happened, and there’s only one candidate who hasn’t conceded to the others. This is the first time in a long time that my vote might actually mean something!
