I had a thought driving into work this morning that between now and October…so in the next 6 months…I have 7 big events planned.
- April 10-14 — Trip to Louisiana. We all know I’m not particularly fond of this trip but I plan to make the most out of it. I’ve decided to make the bride and groom an afghan for their wedding present during the 16 hour trip there. I haven’t yet figured out what I’ll do on the trip back but I will…
- April ? — Trip to Cincinnati. My husband’s Best Man and his wife have purchased a house and we’re going up to help them move. But they aren’t crystal on the closing date so we’re not entirely sure when this trip will be. Hopefully I’ll be able to see one of my bridesmaids and her partner while we’re there….Scratch the hopefully, I will see one of my bridesmaids and her partner while we’re there.
- May 23-27 — NYC trip #1. This, I’m really looking forward to. BlogCon 08, a Broadway show, a posh hotel…what’s not to look forward to? Speaking of BlogCon 08…do we still want to do t-shirts?
- June 27-30 — Kari and Noah are coming for a visit! I haven’t seen Kari in at least 3 years…but it’s probably been longer than that. This also forces me to get another set of sheets before their visit. I have 2 pull out couches and my own bed…but only one set of Full Sheets…I blame it on the registry.
- July ? — One of my BFF’s is coming for a visit. This is question marked b/c she hasn’t booked her flight yet…Amelia…book your flight…She’s supposed to come for her birthday which is July 20…so we’ll see. But she’s coming…she has to!
- August 22-26 –NYC trip #2. The fall work trip. Nothing big planned for this one. If the hubby comes we’ll try to go to a Mets game, but it may be too late in the season…I don’t really know.
- September 18-21 — NYC trip #3. This is my tourist trip. My aunts go every year and I usually make it once every two years. This trip will be funded by the money I have saved by quitting smoking…yes, I’m still not smoking
So there you have it…7 trip/visits in 6 months. I’m pretty thrilled seeing as I haven’t been anywhere in a while…but does anyone want to contribute to the LittleSpoon Vacation fund?
Because seriously…I may be broke when all is said and done!
*kisses*
Smiley Count: 3

If you find anyone willing to contribute to the Spoon vaca fund, refer them to the Fanny vaca fund as well, because holy lord, I’m traveling almost as much as you are.
Also, I am SO HAPPY you’re still not smoking.

Sounds like a fun 6 months! I’m giving you a gigantic high five for not smoking! You are awesome!
Yay for still not smoking! That’s awesome
And loads of trips sound so exciting. When I saw the sunshine this morning, I thought of you. Hope you’re having a great day today!

I don’t know why I thought to share that with you, but thar ya go.
Woot for no smoking! and NYC!
i wish i had a schedule like that. of course the summer months always include more fun stuff. i had a schedule like that last year, but not this year. i decided not to schedule a formal vacation or anything because i’m hoping to move sometime and i don’t know when or where to so i don’t want to be hindered.
have fun on all your trips! are you donations tax deductible?
I’m jealous of all your trips. And congrats on the not smoking! I’m proud of you
yay I love trips, and i love looking forward to trips! I can’t believe you are DRIVING 16 hours though, that’s insane. And congrats on the [still] not smoking, i knew you could do it
trips! exciting!
7 is my favorite/lucky number. just fyi.
roadtrips!! i’m going to PA, NJ and NYC this weekend — SO STOKED!
Yay for all those New York City trips! Can’t wait to see you
Wow, that’s so much traveling! I am very impressed. After we go to Germany this month, we are going NOWHERE until our honeymoon.
And actually, I’m kind of looking forward to it after all the traveling we’ve been doing. It’s kind of nice to just have some down time at home.
Hell yes on the smoking, lady! YOU GO! I’m two and a half weeks smoke free, although I do have to admit to cheating here and there.
Sounds like you have a lot going on in the next six months. My BFF is moving away (SO SAD OMG) and I’ll be helping her and her hubs (and two kids) move in June. I think it will be fun, but also so sad that she’s leaving me. Le sigh.
Happy Hump Day!
Sounds like you have some great trips coming up. I have friends all over the country and feel fabulous when I actually get to go see them. Enjoy your travels!
I need a vacay!!!
I find the not-smoking more thrilling that your stacked plans. Which are also thrilling. Just not as much. I’m so proud of you!
well i think i might be interested in blogcon now that I’m around… although that is hitting awfully close to the time when I’m going to be gone for a month, so i’ll have to check in with you later to confirm i’m coming!!
Wow, you are crazy busy!
man what a busy lady, sounds like fun!
The Mets are at home against Houston August 22, 23, 24, and 25…and away at Phily on the 26th.
Yeah to you for not smoking! I’m still trying to convince one of my friends to stop…but it’s a fruitless effort! Wow Busy as a Bee! Enjoy your weeks off as well as on!
that’s a whole lot of stuff you’ve got going on there!
Wowza. I’m jealous– sometimes I need excuses to get away as much as I would like!
