For my wonderful husband…who complains that I don’t write about him enough
The Meme of Us
How long have you been together? 2 years and 2 months yesterday actually! Why do I know that?
How long did you date? Dated for 10 months, engaged for 10 more. Now married for going on 7 months…wow.
How old is he? He is 357 days older than me. Which means that this year we will both be 25 for 8 days until he hits the dreaded upswing to 30!
Who eats more? Can I just tell you how many times I’ve gotten the puppy eyes and “I’m still hungry” after I’ve made our dinner and he’s hoovered through it?
Who said ‘I love you’ first? You know what? I can’t remember. I think it was a mutual thing though. Like it was on the tip of both our tongues at the same time.
Who is taller? He is, but not by much ![]()
Who is smarter? That’s kind of a mean question don’t you think?
Who does the laundry? We both do, though lately it’s been all me. Which sucks b/c I believe that we made an agreement before we got married that I’m to do the dishes and he’s to do the laundry. Honey, I’m going to need you to reread that chapter in your husband manual.
Who does the dishes? Me. I actually try to do them right away so they don’t pile up.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If we’re laying down? He does. And he complains about it too. But it’s my bed so I got first pick!
Who pays the bills? Luckily we get paid on alternating weeks. We just opened a joint checking and we’re getting pretty good about paying the bills that correspond with our paychecks ![]()
Who mows the lawn? Ah, the joys of apartment living. But when we do have a lawn that can be mowed, you can bet your sweet patootie that it won’t be me doing the mowing
Manual labor and I don’t mix.
Who cooks dinner? My husband is quite unaware of how to even scramble eggs. So if we want to eat, I’m cooking it. At least it always tastes good. Though I’m in desperate need of new, easy, very few ingredients dinners/recipes. Let me know if you have any.
Who is more stubborn? Haha, yeah…me ![]()
Who kissed who first? Me. I kept trying to will him to kiss me but when I realized he wasn’t going to, I laid one on him
I think he was shocked.
Who asked who out? The one thing my husband always says about our relationship in it’s early stages was that I pursued him. Which is totally true. I knows what I want
But he did ask me to be his girlfriend, I do remember that
He was a nervous wreck about it too
So of course I toyed with his emotions and didn’t respond affirmatively right away. Though my insides were screaming “YES! You idiot!”
Who proposed? I think I did actually. Goes back to the whole ‘I pursued him’ issue. Back when we first started dating we went on a road trip to Cincinnati where we spent most of our time at his friend’s house. His friends that were getting married that August. I remember driving and being very quiet and him asking me what was wrong…and I think I just all of a sudden blurted out “When we come up for their wedding, I’d like to be planning ours.” Not quite, “Will you marry me” but you get the gist. The fact that this took place in February and I was already planning on still being with him that August says it all. I was not known for my long term relationships. He actually purchased my ring in June of that year but we didn’t officially get engaged until November 15, 2006. My proposal/engagement story is exactly the reason that I know for a fact that when you meet the right person for you, you know. 3 weeks people! It took all of 3 weeks!
Who is more sensitive? Oh holy crap, me.
Who has more friends? I think we’re tied on this one. Seeing as we have the same friends.
There you go sweetie.
I hope I didn’t bore the rest of you to tears
*kisses*

Sweet hubbins post, very cute. I think all the new wifeys need a seperate post to share dinner ideas, etc. Here’s my current go to meal. Stuffed shells! SUPER EASY and he’ll think you spent forever. 1. boil shells 2. mix ricotta and frozen(thawed) spinach. (I add more stuff, but that’s the most basic filling.) 3. stuff shells and put into baking dish. 4. cover in sauce and sprinkle with parm chz. 5. bake for about 30 mins on 350. YUM!
awe. the story of mim and hubby, super cute
and i love how you took initiative!
He can come mow my lawn
You know…just for practice sake? Lol. You two make me sick.
p.s. after the spinach is thawed, put it in a few paper towels and squish out the water, if not the filling will be too wet and icky.
aww this is adorable! who knew you were such a tiger – go after what you want, and marry that man!!
good for you!
Wait! Aren’t you supposed to pass memes onto others? Because seriously? I may have to do this one for my own honey. Though, I’d be giving away a lot of things he might not be ready to share. hahaha.
awww that’s a great one!
and way to tell him how it is. i’m just secretly planning mine, i haven’t told him that yet because it’ll freak him out even more. but if the day does come when he proposes i think he’s going to be shocked that i’ve already got most of the details worked out.
for some reason i love questionairres : )
i like this! in fact, i might steal it x
Wow, you guys are Tres adorable.
That was fun! I like reading about couples and you and your hubby are so cute
Aww, you and your Husbie are wicked cute.
Extremely cute. And I love all of the smileys dotted all over the place
Our dating “anniversary” was Nov. 15th.
So cute, and it doesn’t even make me want to frow up! Sometimes I have a hard time with the mushy love stuff.
So cute! And I think those laundry/dishes agreements never last. Michael was supposed to do the dishes right after I cook every night. That rarely happens!
I like this meme – very cute. Also, you’ve only been together two years?! Mark and I are cmoing up on four and we’re STILL NOT ENGAGED. Oy! Anyway, you two are very cute.
I love your straightforward attitude!
But I’m with you… when you KNOW, you know. I got some flack about buying a house with my now husband only 7 months into our relationship but it just made sense.
y’all are adorable.
I love it!! And I’m totally stealing this!!
Tres cute, my dear.
As for quick and easy foods– pick up a good thai cookbook. Once you get all the basic sauces in your repetoire (sp?), you can whip up tasty stirfries with almost anything in the fridge.
Well first of all, I’m slightly concerned that I may stare when I meet Dan. You’re not much taller than me, if at all! Noah’s going to feel like he fell into the land of the Lilliputians.
Secondly, I didn’t know it was possible to use that many smileys in one post. Go you!
You love
s and I love numbers. We’re different. And yet the same.
Oh, this was wonderful!!! Thank you so much for sharing your story, and I think I may have to steal this meme from you
I totally knew right away too, and we also got engaged after 10 months. And also he totally does that puppy dog eye thing too after we finish dinner because he could eat a whole second meal.
aw so cute, love it.
I love all the smiles! Also, I love that you don’t remember who said I love you first. To me, it’s not who said it first that matters, it’s that you both feel it- you know? Man, that was so cheesy. I need to send it to Hallmark.
Love all your answers!
Also – I tagged you for another meme!
ummm…you have a husband?…does he drink beer?…Cool.
lols. Smiley Count.
Who thinks “who is smarter” is a mean question?
You guys are adorable. And this was super cute.
aww that’s so awesome!! I know what you are talking about that whole I’m still hungry…I always tell him to fix himself something else…I’m done!!
Aww… I love learning about you and your hubby.
