- My husband and I booked our flights to NYC last night. Now the next step is booking the hotel. Once I’ve got those logistics squared away will be creating and sending the evites to BlogCon 08. Remember if you’re planning on coming you need to email the BlogCon 08 email address so I can add you to the list.
- I’m still feeling run down but it may be stress and a messy house. I plan on cleaning like crazy this evening. I hope those plans stay strong since I have to be at work later than normal b/c we have one of our orientation sessions tonight. I tried sleeping in an hour to counteract the extra hour I’ll be here tonight. But I still got to work at my normal time.
- How do I do that? Why do I do that? Why do I feel like I’m going to hyperventilate or break out into hives if I’m one minute late? I think it stems from always being made late when I was a kid. So now that I’m an adult I have this subconcious need to be early if not smack dab on time.
- Have you ever noticed that pretty much every post I write includes at least one smiley? I’m not sure why I do that either. It’s part of my writing style or charm I suppose. I use them like exclamation points. I have actually thought about adding it to my signature. But I’m afraid the husband would make fun of me relentlessly. Well more than he does already. And by make fun I mean tease me for being so cute.
- The husband and I came in 5th and 6th in our Oscar contest. We tied with 70 points each but I think I get dibs on 5th place b/c I had to bug him to fill out his ballot. And he wouldn’t listen to anyone when we told him not to pick Johnny Depp for Best Actor or Casey Afleck for Best Supporting. Even though the Oscars were a crap shoot this year, those two categories were pretty much the only obvious ones. If he had listened he would have come in first. But I guess the money prize wasn’t enough incentive to stray away from picking Johnny.
- The husband maintains that he will always pick Johnny. (I wouldn’t put it past him to write him in if he’s not nominated.) I agree that the Depp deserves an Oscar but he deserved one for Captain Jack Sparrow, not Captain Sweeney Todd Sparrow. (I feel like his accent and mannerisms were very similar for both characters.)
*kisses*

i like the smilies
and i think it’s cool that your family does an oscar game. my family sticks with the superbowl pool every year. LAME.
I like the smiles too. I use them, especially the
I’m just upset because my feeder thing isn’t showing that you’re updating. Hope you keep getting better!
I’m with your hubby…I’d write Mr. Depp in too
Yeah I should seriously start listening to your hubby about the gas deal…would make my life a lot easier and with no engine warning lights. Lol.
I love smileys too… and i do believe i may over-use them occasionally but I just can’t help it! And p.s. i haaaate being late too
I can’t believe you just realized you use a smiley in every post. Duh! It’s part of your charm.
God I love Johnny Depp. I was so annoyed when he didn’t win for Pirates. Mostly because I wanted to watch him looking hot while he give his acceptance speech.
By the way, yes those are golden retrievers–but they are English goldens, which means they are lighter in color than American goldens. They can’t be shown, so they are bred for temperament. They’re really cute. I can check with my parents for the breeder info if you’re still interested. Actually I think there’s one puppy left in this litter that isn’t spoken for, if you want one soon. Email me?
Wooo for BlogCon and NYC! I’m with Hubby - Johnny Depp will always get my vote if he’s nominated.
Hi, did I miss the newsletter? When is Blog Con?
I agree. Johnny deserves an Oscar. I mean, haven’t they seen Donnie Brasco?
(I use smileys all. the. time.)
Looks like I will be in NYC earlier in May, so I’ll miss BlogCon. Boo! But, if I am able to plan a later trip, I’ll definitely let you know!
I definitely freak out about being late too, definitely something that’s been ingrained in me since I was a kid.
And I really want Johnny to win an Oscar too, but I knew this definitely wasn’t the year.
Oh, I do so wish I could go to Blog Con ‘08! You’ll all have so much fun!
YAY for coming to NYC!!!
An Oscar game sounds like fun and it is a good reason to keep paying attention as it is entering it’s third hour.
“captain sweeney todd sparrow” is a great name.
