You guys I had an awesome weekend. But I’ll get to that in a minute.
First a note on BlogCon 08. If you would like to receive an Evite about the event please email the BlogCon email address provided to your right. I know some of you are thinking “She knows I’m coming so I don’t have to email her.” Well you’re right and you’re wrong. My brain can get really muddled sometimes and there’s a good chance I’ll forget about you…even if we talk about it everyday. Also, I will not release any information on locations (hotel, bar, etc) through this site. It will only be in email form. This is for our privacy and our safety. So, email me
A couple people have emailed me asking if I would mind if they designed a tshirt idea as well. And I say the more the merrier. This is for all of us, not just me. I want everyone to be happy and take whatever part they’d like in BlogCon 08. Please email any tshirt designs to the BlogCon email address as well.
Enough about BlogCon, I know you all are dying to know why my weekend was so awesome, right? Let’s start with why this post is titled “Opposite Ends of the Spectrum.”
On Friday I received this from one of my colleagues:

Chocolate always makes my day better. But a giant Hershey Kiss? Makes my day fantastic!
Then on Sunday while grocery shopping, I stumbled upon this:

Quite possibly the best idea Ben & Jerry’s has ever had. It even comes with a spoon in the lid. Amazing. The perfect sized treat.
On Friday both of my mother’s sisters came to town. Now that Grandma lives here we get to see them so much more and it’s amazing!
My Aunt Gogi and I went to the mall so she could utilize one of those vibratey chairs and so I could get my wedding rings cleaned. I actually ended up having my rings sent off to be re-sized, soldered together, and rhodium plated. All of this makes me very happy. I mean except for the fact that I have chubby fingers that are constantly growing and shrinking…hence the re-sizing.
My Aunt Beth brought my wedding video! I cannot tell you how happy this made me. For one, I don’t remember my wedding day. And for two, it’s quite possibly the cutest thing ever.
My Uncle Bill shot the video and while there were some things missing that I hoped had been captured on video (me spinning myself and getting my hair caught on my husband’s cuff, thus ripping out a chunk of hair) there were awesome parts recorded like our cake cutting (we’re amateurs) and the fact that after my husband and I shared our first kiss as husband and wife I croaked out the words “I missed you.”
So much more happened this weekend, including the latest volume of Married Life. But I’ve got work to do, so you’ll just have to wait
*kisses*

Oh my goodness - I could devour that kiss right this second. Glad you had a great weekend!
Mmmm that ice cream looks lovely!
mmm i am missing ice cream so bad! that looks so yummy!
and your little wedding story just made me so happy on this monday morning
Man, that’s really cute that you said that. I’ll probably say something dumb. Grace under pressure? Not so much for this chick.
Do you really not remember your wedding day? Because that thought scares me just a little.
mini ben and jerry’s pints?! holy. cow.
I LOVE Cherry Garcia!!!! What a good, relaxing weekend! I’ll email the BlogCon email in a second! Since you know since I can’t shut up about it, I’ll be there!!
Mmmm, I want some Ben and Jerry’s now! My thighs definitely do not need the B&J.
I LOVE those mini-pints of Ben & Jerry’s! But the big Hershey’s Kiss??? GIVE IT TO ME!
I have never seen some a magnificent Ben & Jerry container! Now I have to go to the store and pick one up. Thanks for the heads up!!
The ice cream minis were made for me, I swear. It’s impossible to overeat with them, which I love.
The big kiss, on the other hand, is a different story.
I loved watching our wedding video. Ours was shot by my uncle too and while I wish he had shot some more stuff, I was so happy to have it done at all. For free.
And I love the pictures of you and your hubby on the wall on the Kiss picture!
You better hide the chocolate, because I’m on my way over.
I’ve never seen the mini Ben & Jerry’s but I think a trip to the store might be in my near future.
I love that the Ben & Jerry’s is sitting right next to the Diet Pepsi.
I also discovered the small B&J a while back, but have since discovered that it takes at least 3 of them to watch the ENTIRE episode of “Biggest Loser”.
awww, yay for a great weekend! you totally deserve it
xoxo
hahaha at first I thought you had bought a GIANT can of soda!
(ghetto voice) Damn girl! You luh’ you some Bath & Body Works, dontcha?
Kisses…a bundle of wrapped heaven…
Love the snaps on the wall….
i’m kind of obsessed with molly’s comment about the giant can of soda.
i’m trying to force my brain to get back to my original comment - which was this: hi - you say i’m cruel with the picture of the cookies but you are equally cruel with that pic of the ben&jerry’s!! mmmm ice cream.
i need some. like immediately.
I KNOW RIGHT. I love the cookie dough one. Addictive.
Cherry Garcia will be my downfall. Sooooo good– what a way to start the weekend!
Ben and Jerry’s is so cutting edge when it comes to ice cream. Spoon included? I love that!
haha. i am totally with molly on this one. i was like… umm, a diet pepsi? aaaand i really love black raspberry vanilla. it makes me not hate where work as much as i would without it.
I want that Hershey kiss. Is huge. Yummy.
Request: Can you have a section of HONORARY blogs that rock on the BlogCon shirts for those that cannot make it to NYC? I think this is a reasonable request. One that warrants thought. Discussion. Etc. (Even if that section only includes “http://cmrpaul.blogspot.com”.)
Your wedding DVD was the bestest. It brought tears to my eyes. I remembered a LOT of if surprisingly but did not realize things like the ceremony seemed kinda long. Lovely but I don’t remember standing there so long. Anywho. I highly enjoyed and will be requesting a copy soooon.
kisses, whether chocolate are not
always appreciated, always hot
What is blog con? I am totally out of the loop aren’t I?
That Hershey’s Kiss looks amazing. Excuse me while I go scarf down some chocolate rightthissecond.
