- I’m forgoing a BlogCon 08 post this week since I like to post them on Mondays and I was off yesterday and therefore decided to spend 84584 hours goofing off on Facebook rather than write a post. Color me lazy.
- Question of the day…What color is lazy, exactly?
- I play Oregon Trail on Facebook. Holla at the most awesome game ever. Also incredibly entertaining and time consuming. Whilst playing this weekend (read…all day Monday) one of my wagon members died because and I quote…”I was so annoying.” For reals. There are several things wrong with this. 1) It reminds me of why I got so frustrated with the game as a child, b/c you can heal a snake bite or even God forbid dysentery…but annoyance? You just can’t heal that with medicine. and 2) Who knew being annoying was fatal? Trust me if I had known, I probably would have stopped.
- Probably.
- Also, I almost had another fatality due to my predisposition to annoying people. But luckily my wagon reached Oregon City before my annoyance factor proved fatal once again. Apparently on my wagon my annoying you is the only thing that can kill you. Probably b/c it’s the only thing I can’t cure by clicking the little syringe icon.
- My TV show of choice to fall asleep to last night? MTV’s True Life. I didn’t even know they still made new episodes of this show until I got my college’s alumni magazine and there was an article about a current theatre major who was on the show to promote the fact that she was fat and happy.
- I didn’t know this girl but it was awesome to see my campus. And it was weird b/c the new dorm that they started building the year I graduated is completed now and it’s strange not being able to recognize parts of your own college anymore. They’ve actually torn down the dorm I lived in for 2 years. It’s sad, really, to know that if my children want to go to my alma mater or even visit that when we drive by where I used to live I have to say “There used to be a building there. I promise.”
- This is just another example of getting old isn’t it? Geez.
- Thank you all for wishing LittleSpoon a Happy Birthday. She loves the attention, it may have gone to her head.
*kisses*

OMG!!!
Oregon Trail was my favorite game back in 1995. I played back then on a daily basis and every day until I got to the end with everything (well pretty much everything) intact.
Recently I installed a DOS-Box on my computer so I can play old games. Oregon Trail among them.
I had no idea you can play it on Facebook. Gotta go and check that out, like now!
i love playing oregon trail on facebook! i have yet to encounter death by annoyance. very interesting way to die. how would that work exactly?
I know not of Facebook nor Oregon Trail. Now who’s old?!
I haven’t hopped on the Oregon Trail addiction yet… I’m just getting over Scrabulous!!
We should be facebook friends.
I have never played Oregon Trail and never felt the desire to until I read this post. A game where being annoying can kill? How realistic! I mean, annoying people often make me want to die.
Not that YOU are annoying, of course.
well, color me stupid, i still dont know what the hell this trail to Oregon is, and why anyone wants to go to Oregon, much less in a wagon…
omg. i was obsessed with that damn game when i was younger.
hence the reason why i will not play it on facebook. i already have tooo many other internet addictions to feed. damn you myspace, facebook, blogging…
le sigh.
I’m with La - I don’t even know what Oregon Trail is!
And I don’t have a Facebook account… only MySpace.
Oregon Trail… I loved that game back when I was in middle school. it’s so much fun. Except when you loose all your oxen and the wagon just sits on the trail and you can’t do anything about it.
I suggest that the color of lazy is black as black is the absence of color therefore, too lazy to be any color.
I still find annoying someone to death laughable.
There is a Facebook group now called something like “Fat and Happy” after that True Life episode.
I love Oregon Trail! It’s at the point where it’s almost retro to play the game. Ahh, the memories.
I’m probably the peacemaker in your wagon trying to pacify the annoyed people, when I’m not sick or lost, hehe.
Oregon Trail, huh…
I remember when we used to play that in keyboarding class in middle school. It was just incredible when we got all of our work done and got to play either that or “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?”
Wow…I think I just showed my age a little bit there, too…
Would you believe it if I told you I’m not on facebook or my space? But the push play is making me wanna join…
OK so maybe I need to try this Oregon Trail game!
The color of lazy…maybe gray?
I’d say lazy is gray. Or maybe some kind of icky, dirty white because it’s like it’s trying to be a color but not really.
Holy cow, I love Oregon Trail on Facebook! I think this definitely means you are NOT getting old. I mean, there were parts of my tiny campus that I didn’t recognize even when I was there. People would say, “I’ll meet you in Chamberlain House,” and I’d be like, “Where the heck is THAT?!” And then they’d point to the building behind me.
Chartreuse.
What!
I always died from Whooping cough, or Cholera.
We played that as part of our Geography class in 4th grade.
Sadly, Im not on facebook so I can’t play.
