Take a look over there on your right. I’ve added some new links, marked with the word *new*. (clever, huh?) Go show them some love if you haven’t discovered them already.
Today I’m finally getting around to posting about meeting Each. She was kind enough to photoshop most of herself out of this picture. And to be honest I’m shocked she didn’t used one of the numerous pictures taken with her tongue hanging out. I was looking forward to posting a nice picture of me with a phantom tongue…oh well.

At least she left the pink streak in the picture. That way you know it’s really her.
Part of the reason why I haven’t posted yet about our meeting is that she gave me a wonderful gift and I was waiting on my RLBFF (Real Life Best Friend Forever) to send me another one. Do you all remember this post? Each gchatted me with something along the lines of “Crap, I just read your blog. Because I totally went on Ebay to find you a Gus Gus ornament to give you when we meet.”
Not only did she find my Gus Gus ornament she found the set with Jaq and Gus in the packaging they came in! I’m not sure if you remember but way back in the day McDonald’s cared about their happy meal toys. Jaq and Gus Gus came in their own little houses.

So now I have 2 Jaq ornaments and 2 Gus Gus ornaments. And apparently RLBFF is planning on sending another one, since her family has two of them.
I am blessed with people who love me.
But back to meeting Each.
Each actually grew up in NC and was home for the holidays with her parents. Perfect!
We decided to meet at a “halfway point” a restaurant at the mall. I arrived early b/c I’m paranoid about being late and got my Christmas shopping done (yay me and wow that seems like forever ago) and as I was walking back to my car I received a text from Each telling me she was there. I panicked, I thought I still had 20 minutes to go…I was even planning on applying fresh makeup. But since I’m a “roll with the punches” kind of girl and since I had to walk past restaurant to get back to my car I decided to sneak up on her. So worth it.
She jumped. I laughed. We hugged. We complimented each other’s hair. (Being a girl is awesome.)
Once we had my Christmas presents settled in my car we trekked back to the restaurant and proceeded to order drinks (dirty gin martini for me, mohito for her, waters for both of us) and commenced discussion.
It’s so weird how two people from seemingly two different parts of the country can have so much in common. It’s like I met my other half. My other half with pink hair. I shouldn’t be surprised since I believe my very first comment on her blog was along the lines of “I feel like I already know you.”
Once we had tired of the restaurant we headed over to the Ale House. I wish this night could have been filled with more debauchery but since it was the night of the Carolina Panther’s, Dallas Cowboys game there was debauchery but not from us
Drunken Panthers fans at an Ale House, makes for fun people watching but not the drunken debauchery I was hoping for.
My husband was supposed to join us but his schedule was changed at the last minute (actually in part due to the Panthers game) and he couldn’t make it. If he had been able to join us, it’s possible that despite the annoying football game, we could have commenced our debauchery. Oh well.
Around midnight it was time to part ways. (My husband was calling me, her father was calling her. I think both sides were frightened we had been kidnapped by the other.) We did proceed to stand in the cold not wanting to part. We began making plans for next Christmas when we suddenly remembered Blog Con 08! We didn’t have to wait a whole year to see each other again. We’d see each other in 5 short months!
I directed her to the highway and I began my long drive home, sad, b/c I had to leave my new friend. Then my phone beeped and I saw a text message from Each that read “I heart you!” Elated with my second successful internet meeting, I arrived home and crawled into bed next to my husband and passed out.
I encourage you all to meet one of your blog friends. It’s the best feeling in the world to put a face to a name and not have any awkward silences when you meet for the first time.
*kisses*

I love meeting blog friends, but I have had one bad encounter so there are pitfalls. Still, it won’t keep me from meeting more!
I never would have pictured your other half having “pink hair”. But I guess it’s a good contrast with the red hair. *LOL*
Guess I need to get back into blogging a little more, I almost miss doing it…
I love reading about bloggers meeting each other. This post interested me a lot especially b/c one of you is anonymous!
